This actually worked very well and would be useful in AP classes or upper level classes to promote real world conversation. Page One is what I did this year, Page 2 is from last year.

Examples of Krista's Project Menus
These are Krista's project menus for Latin. John and I are thinking of modifying these to do some cultural projects for Spanish 3. We will try it for C4 the Caribe chapter. We have 3 categories (ARTE, MUSICA y EVENTOS HISTORICOS) and choices on how to present something for each category. Hopefully it will work!

Ser Estar Desk Circut from Robyn
Kids work in pairs. Number paper from 1-20 (or whatever number you have). Cut out each question on it's own strip of paper and place radomly around room. Pairs must work together to write answers to all questions. First pair to finish yells BASTA or TERMINAMOS. All groups stop, go back to seats, trade papers and correct. Group with MOST CORRECT wins.

Jose Guadalupe Posada reading, ppt & making your own calavera
I used this after we read about JGP and his calaveras. We spent time working in groups going through the Posada Reading and finding main ideas. We then had an 'oral quiz' asking each other comprension type questions using this information.
We then looked at the power point of more of Posada Images with the power point conitnuing with the oral quiz idea and then eventually leading into students writing their own calaveras and making their own 'print' to go with it.
Instrucciones are below.....
